Earthen was recorded in Chicago in the winter of 2025 & though some of these sounds do feel icy, there are some uplifting & expansive moments. The album opens with a beautiful headphone trip of Tim Hecker esque ambient swells & Blanton's impressive rhythmic skills are on full display in his drum production throughout most of the album.Â
